El Dorado: Myths of Gold, Part I
El Dorado: Myths of Gold is a group exhibition that explores the sociopolitical and environmental challenges rooted in El Dorado as a foundational myth of the Americas. Showcasing the work of over sixty artists - from the pre-Hispanic period to today - the two-part exhibition shines light on a history of colonization, its transformation of cultural, territorial, religious belief; individual and collective identity. The use of dark royal blue and velvet-cushioned displays underscore a sentiment of conflict, power, and value.
