SAS designed the Chaim Soutine: Flesh exhibition for The Jewish Museum of New York. This exhibition of more than 30 paintings by Chaim Soutine, the Expressionist artist of Russian origin known for his gestural and densely painted canvases, focuses on his remarkable paintings depicting hanging fowl, beef carcasses, and rayfish, now considered among his greatest artistic achievements. For the exhibition, SAS used the commonly used butcher paper rolls as wallpaper in some of the exhibition walls to contextualize the depicted rawness. The show was on view from May 4, 2018 - September 16, 2018. It was expertly curated by Stephen Brown with consulting curators Esti Dunow and Maurice Tuchman.
