The Brooklyn Academy of Music Local Development Corporation (BAM LDC) retained OpenOffice, which then became SAS to convert an existing 8-story laboratory building into offices. The building was developed to serve non-profit arts organizations emerging in Brooklyn, including offices for BAM LDC. The project included ground-floor gathering spaces, a garden, and mid-building conference rooms available for public use, encouraging synergetic interactions among building tenants and the Brooklyn community-at-large. The project was completed in 2005.
